Almost 30 weeks

First of all, yay for the election results!! We are so happy that the first years of our little one's life will hopefully bring some change. I saw the midwife yesterday and everything is going well with the baby. I am feeling pretty good too. I can feel my belly stretching every day and it is starting to get a little more uncomfortable, but it is still very manageable. Some exciting things this week. Sourav and I can now hear the baby's heartbeat with his stethoscope!! He is big enough that we can sort of tell his position too. We can see when his back and bum push up against my belly and when his little feet stretch out to kick me on the other side. He still moves around quite a bit, but I think he spends most of his time head down with his body off to the right, kicking me hard off to the left side! (which tends to keep me up at night!) We started our child birth classes yesterday and met a bunch of other nice couples due around the same time we are. The classes are going to be a huge help and we are looking forward to soaking up all of the info. We have two Doula interviews this week as well as our first appointment with the midwife at St. Luke's to see if we want to switch hospitals.

Lastly, congratulations to our friends Shonket and Megan who delivered a beautiful baby boy this week!!
