With a little less than two weeks until my due date, Sourav and I are feeling relaxed and excited at the same time. We are trying not to be impatient and really enjoy these last couple of weeks together. I had a midwife appointment today and everything looks good. I am GBS negative so I don't have to worry about taking antibiotics while in labor! The baby's heartbeat is strong and wonderful. I am measuring perfectly and the little man continues to be in good position for birth.
I went to a matinee today to occupy my mind and to ignore the nasty weather outside. It took my mind off of things. I have been having some mild cramping on and off for the past couple of weeks which my midwife said is a good sign that my body is getting ready for labor. I had some pretty intense cramps during the movie, which allowed me to practice my breathing.
I will try to write a little bit each day to monitor my progress. Hopefully we will have our baby soon!
